0.2.25
LatestAnyPS5-ARM 0.2.25AnyPS5-ARM 0.2.25 is the last release of the day: gyro aiming for every game, a USB DualShock 3 shows once and wakes up properly, you can type on your phone when a game asks for text, Assist Player 1 lets a second device help the first player, and Captures come to AnyTogether: share your screenshots and clips, like them and comment. AnyPS5 Desktop 0.1.11 brings gyro aiming, typing on the phone and Assist Player 1 to Windows and Linux, with a new Windows and Linux engine built from c06073a7a. The phone app AnyPS5 Remote 1.20 comes along. Like every release, it is signed.
Gyro aiming for every game
- Aim with the motion of your pad: a DualSense, DualShock 4 or Switch Pro Controller, or a phone the launcher brings, aims in any game that aims with the right stick, on top of the stick itself.
- Each game's Controls page starts with Gyro Aiming: sensitivity, invert, when it aims (always, while L2 is held or while touching the touchpad) and a dead zone.
- The turn is read the way you hold the pad (yaw around gravity, pitch around the pad's own axis), smoothed per device.
- Engine:
ANYPS5_GYRO_AIM(docs/user/USAGE.md).
DualShock 3 on USB
- One entry per pad. macOS 26 lists a USB DualShock 3 a second time as a generic "HID" controller; the launcher now pairs that copy with its own reader, so each pad shows once (the copy's input is used only while the reader gets nothing).
- The PS3 enable handshake follows SDL and the Linux driver (feature reports 0xF2 and 0xF5, then 0xF4 only if needed), retried until the pad reports. The player light is set only once the pad has stayed, and never resent unchanged.
- Dual-mode clones that start as "PS3 Controller" and switch to Xbox 360 mode after about a second now show as a single Xbox pad, with no ghost DualShock 3 entry.
Type on your phone
- When a game opens its text dialog or keyboard, the phone app shows a typing sheet with your phone's own keyboard (the game's title, placeholder and starting text, its length limit and keyboard type), and the browser pad page shows a card with a text field.
- What you type replaces the game's text, then Enter or cancel. It works on every remote pad channel; the phone that joins later gets the open prompt at once.
Assist Player 1
- Settings → Controllers → Assist Player 1 picks who plays player 1 together with its holder, like the console's second controller for assistance: the Mac's other controllers, or one phone or browser pad.
- A helping device takes no player of its own: its buttons, sticks, triggers and touch join player 1's (player 1 keeps its own motion), and player 1's vibration and light answer it.
- Each Share Play guest with a pad gets an Assist Player 1 switch too.
Captures on AnyTogether
- Share to AnyTogether from the gallery: a screenshot or a clip, with a caption, for Friends or Public. The clip size limit is said before you start.
- Captures in Friends: see what your friends shared, like at once, and comment with replies. It all works with a pad.
- A refused share says why, in words.
Also in this release
- The phone app builds from a clean checkout: its adaptive launcher icon layers are now in the repository.
- Engine: the text prompt (
APRK) and typed text (APRT) datagrams, the assist flag (byte 13 = 1) and the assist datagram (APRA) on the remote pad bridge, andlibSceImekeeps the prompt so a phone's text replaces the game's (docs/user/USAGE.md).
Phone app "AnyPS5 Remote" 1.20
- Type on your phone: when a game asks for text, a sheet opens with the game's title and text, your phone's own keyboard and its Enter label; send or cancel.
- Your phone can be the Assist Player 1 device, and its motion can aim with Gyro Aiming.
Windows and Linux: AnyPS5 Desktop 0.1.11
- Gyro aiming (each game's Controls page: Aim with the Gyro), typing on the phone (phone sheet and browser pad card) and Assist Player 1 (Settings → Controllers), as above.
- New engine: AnyPS5-toolkit-windows-c06073a7a.zip and AnyPS5-toolkit-linux-c06073a7a.tar.gz / .zip (built on Ubuntu 22.04, glibc 2.35), with gyro aiming, typing and assist. The online, remote pad, AppContent, UserService and power control tests pass on both. Settings → AnyPS5 Engine in AnyPS5 Desktop offers them.
Install
Mac (Apple silicon, macOS 14 or newer): already on 0.2.8 or later, use Settings → About → Update to 0.2.25 (or Restart Now on the update notice). Or:
curl -fsSL https://github.com/utkuhalis/AnyPS5-ARM/releases/latest/download/install.sh | sh
It puts AnyPS5.app in Applications and installs Rosetta 2 if it is missing. With AnyPS5-macOS.zip instead: unzip and open the app. The first time, open System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway.
Games unlocked with an earlier version get the engine fixes when you choose Update and Play on them (your saves and trophies stay). A game with a dumped update is unlocked again to apply it.
Phone:
- Android: open AnyPS5-Remote.apk on the phone and allow installing from your browser when asked.
- iPhone (iOS 15 or newer): install AnyPS5-Remote.ipa with AltStore, SideStore or Sideloadly, which sign it with your own Apple ID.
- No app: scan the launcher's QR code (Play from a browser).
Windows 10/11: run AnyPS5-Desktop-Setup-0.1.11-x64.exe (installs for your user, no admin), or unzip AnyPS5-Desktop-windows-x64.zip. SmartScreen may warn: More info → Run anyway. AnyPS5 Desktop 0.1.3 or later offers this update by itself.
Linux: AnyPS5-Desktop-0.1.11-x86_64.AppImage (chmod +x, run), sudo apt install ./anyps5-desktop_0.1.11_amd64.deb, or the .tar.gz. The launcher needs Ubuntu 22.04 or newer.
On Windows and Linux, press Download the AnyPS5 engine on first start (or update it in Settings → AnyPS5 Engine for gyro aiming, typing on the phone and Assist Player 1). For clips, install ffmpeg (Windows: winget install ffmpeg or put ffmpeg.exe beside the launcher; Linux: sudo apt install ffmpeg).
Engine files: AnyPS5-toolkit-macos-0.2.25-arm.zip is this release's engine for the Mac launcher's engine picker. AnyPS5-toolkit-windows-c06073a7a.zip and AnyPS5-toolkit-linux-c06073a7a.tar.gz / .zip are the Windows and Linux ones for AnyPS5 Desktop's. You don't need to download them yourself.
